I have used both on my card

I have embossed dark blue card with Crafts Too Christmas Trees frame embossing folder and sanded.
Printed Judikins Angel stamp and Hero Arts Happy Christmas stamp onto white card with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  Cut out and layered on top
Added gold star brads.
Layered all onto light blue card.
