About Me

Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

They had a very unusual cold snap at my daughter Angela's in October 2012 which is the middle of spring here in Australia.  They had snow all night and all the next day.  Emily couldn't go to school as the roads were closed and the train line was closed so they had some fun playing in the snow.
It was the heaviest snow fall they had since they moved to the Blue Mountains in January 2007.

October 2013 it was the opposite they had very hot weather with above normal temperatures and bad winds and had to evacuate from their home because of the bush fires.   They were very blessed the fire was coming towards their house and the wind changed and it went in the other direction.  Houses not far from them were destroyed.

I hope you will go over to Creative Fingers and see the projects by the rest of the design team and join in the challenge.

Word Art Wednesday 119

Challenge No 119 at Word Art Wednesday is anything goes with  inspiring or encouraging words
http://wordartwednesday.blogspot.com.au/

I have printed borders and sentiment from Daydream Designs Hope Endures combo set purple available to purchase at http://www.dianesdaydreamdesigns.com/

Layered onto purple card and then onto green card.

I am going to send this card to my eldest daughter who is a real inspiration.  She had two operations for breast cancer at the end of 2010.  Then in 2011 20 weeks of chemotherapy and then 6 weeks of everyday radiotherapy.  In the middle of her chemotherapy treatment her husband died suddenly (only 40).   She is in remission but still on medication that makes her tired and feel sick most of the time plus gives her joint pains like arthritis.  She pushes herself to keep going for her daughter's sake (who just turned 15  this month).

She started a new job this year as a merchandiser and has been working hard the last couple weeks with a broken little toe.  Her foot is very sore as she is on her feet all day except for when she is in the car driving between stores.  She also has to crouch down a lot.

She relies on God for all she does so I would appreciate prayer for her.  Thank you.

Inspirational Post for Feeling Sketchy 9 February 2014

It is my turn to post an inspirational project for Feeling Sketchy
http://feeling-sketchy.blogspot.com.au/

I have used card sketch No 79 and used a square photo instead of a round one.

I have printed out ballet digi paper and typed Title on the computer.  Added washi tape and photo plus ballet slippers.

I have just done a quick simple layout for inspiration for those just starting out.
My grand daughter Emily's dance school had Alice in Wonderland for the theme for the dance concert over two days in  November 2013.  Emily's ballet class were the playing cards.

Just a hint if you have daughters doing ballet don't buy point shoes over the internet.  They need to be fitted properly.  Emily's pink point shoes were fitted by the ballet shop but the black ones she needed for the concert were bought over the internet.  They became soft after one wear and Emily hurt her foot but kept on dancing.
