More Mixed Media - anything goes with optional yellow - use a little or a lot
http://moremixedmediachallenge.blogspot.com/
I painted journal page with black gesso. Tried to use moulding paste through star stencil but it was too dry. Used yellow paint through star stencil. Added punched stars.
Printed coloured image and sentiment from Princess Sassy Pants sponged torn edges with distress ink and layered on top. Added star stickers.
I still haven't mastered using stencils - it is a bit messy.
I hope you will go over and see the lovely work by the design team and join in the challenge.
I would like to add my journal page to the following:

The joy of stencilling is that it doesn't need to be perfect - you're only adding a backdrop. Yes, it can be messy but messy can be lots of fun! I have a habit of stencilling with paint when I'm in my good clothes, then running through two rooms to get to the sink to wash the paint off, lol. It must look like a panto! Try adding a little water to your paste if it's dry - it's worth a try :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely backdrop on the black gesso and what a lovely image, with all the hard work done for you.
Thank you so much for sharing with us at Try it on Tuesday.

I love this page and I'm so pleased you joined us at Try It On Tuesday! If you haven't thrown it away already you could try spritzing your paste with water and closing the lid for a while before giving it a stir - no promises mind!!! Hugs, Chrisx
