About Me

Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

Extra project for Gecko Galz

Each month one of the members of the Gecko Galz design team is going to make an extra project for the Gecko Galz monthly newsletter.
If you sign up for the newsletter at
each month you will be able to see the lovely project the design team member has made and you will also be able to request the free collage sheet for the month.  This month it was my turn and I have made a journal page.

1.  Painted page with Gesso primer
2.  Painted page with Vintage Rose acrylic paint.
3.  Used moulding paste through Tim Holtz mini collection flower stencil
(left to dry between each step 1-4)
4.  Stamped page with flower stamps.
5.  Printed Gecko Galz coloured image from Precious Little Girls collage set onto Gecko Galz Pretty in Pink ATC collection.  Cut out and layered onto page.
6.  Printed sentiment from Ginger's house blog on Gecko Galz Sweet Serenade paper from Floral Symphony paper set.  Cut out and layered on to page.
7.  Printed flower icon from Gecko Galz La Boheme digi craft kit five times in different sizes, cut out and layered on top

Also I hope you will go over to the blog
http://geckogalzscrapbooking.blogspot.com.au/
and see the lovely work the design team have made for the challenge and join in the challenge "Putting on the green"

Beautiful, Margaret. I love what you've done with that journal page. The the colours, the flowers, all compliment that lovely image. And the sentiment pulls everything together. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

Terrific journal page Margaret. I really love the sentiment and it's so true. Flowers are simply beautiful and are all stand alones valued for their own appearance. I love the background paper for this card too. Thanks for sharing it at the Watercooler Wednesday challenge.
