About Me

Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

More Mixed Media - anything mixed media with optional red

I have been busy trying to make all my design team cards for February and schedule them on my blog.   I am having eye surgery for glaucoma on Friday 7 February and Friday 21 February.  I don't know how long I will have to stay off the computer after each operation.  I spoke to the nurse on Monday and she said they would be able to tell me when I go back for the post operation check up on Monday.  (it is now Wednesday at 6.30 pm here in Sydney)

Please pray for me that the surgery will go well and I will be able to see better.   Thank you.
I added all the above as an update after this blog post was posted)

and now to today's post
More Mixed Media - anything mixed media with optional red - use a little or a lot
http://moremixedmediachallenge.blogspot.com/

I embossed red card with Cuttlebug stars embossing folder
Sponged piece of gloss card with distress inks and stamped PSX Nativity stamp with red distress ink.  Trimmed with fancy scissors and sponged edges with red distress ink.  Layered onto red card.
(I bought PSX stamps when I first started stamping in 1995, unfortunately you can't buy them new any more)
Sponged piece of white card with distress inks, stamped Penny Black stamp with red distress ink,  Trimmed edges with fancy scissors and sponged edges with red distress ink and layered onto red card.
Added ribbon, star stickers and star brads.
Layered all onto white card.

I hope you will go over and see the lovely work by the design team and join in the challenge.

I would like to add my card to the following:

Hi, Margaret! Saw this on MMM challenge and I'm not naturally a fan of all-digi so when I see you make something non, I love it! This is such a pretty card, organic and simple in its beauty. Very cool, XOX
