About Me

Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

More Mixed Media - Blue

More Mixed Media - anything mixed media with optional blue - use a little or a lot
http://moremixedmediachallenge.blogspot.com/

For the past few years I have been making journals for my grand daughters using craft materials and encouraging verses.  I finished the ones for my second grand daughter and third grand daughter a while back and today I just finished the one for my eldest grand daughter.  I still have the last one to finish for my youngest grand daughter.

I made a bit of mess of this page.

This is the first page in the journal.  I left it to last to do.

I painted the page with blue acrylic paint.  When dry painted over Lavinia stencil Laurel with Texture modelling paste.  (Didn't do it very well.)  Sponged over part of the stencil with Lavinia Elements blue lagoon premium die ink (It is supposed to wash out but it is still on my hands).  Printed out the words and an old photo of me and my grand daughter.  Cut out, sponged the edge of the photo and layered onto page.  Unfortunately some of the blue ink went onto my face in the photo so I then had to print out the photo again and layer on top.
Added three dragonfly stickers and five blue flowers.

I hope you will go over and see the lovely work by the design team and join in the challenge.

I would like to add my card to the following:
