About Me

Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

Christmas cards

I made two cards to the sketch at Merry Monday No 58
http://alwaysplayingwithpaper.blogspot.ca/2013/04/merry-monday-christmas-card-challenge_15.html
but just missed the deadline for posting,

so I will put card 1 into the  ABC Christmas card challenge H for "Holiday helpers" http://abcchristmaschallenge.blogspot.ca/ only 2 days left to join this challenge.

It is also nearly time for the Cuddlebug Cuties Sunday Linky party so I have used a Cuddlebug Cuties image on the 2nd card.
This was the sketch

and these are the cards I made tonight.

Card 1:  I have put 3 washi tapes onto red card, printed Heather Valentin's "Lil Candi Cane Ragamuffin" from Lacey Sunshine (the Official and only authorized shop for the Heather Valentin digi stamps) onto white card and coloured with copic marker (skin) and the rest with Kaszazz alcohol markers.  Layered her over the washi tape. Stamped Kaszazz "Monogram Christmas" cut out and layered on top.  Attached all to green card.

Card 2:  I have put 3 washi tapes onto red card, stamped Lucy's stamps "Christmas Words" and "Bauble small" onto white card.  Layered them over top of washi tape.  Printed Cuddlebug Cuties "Scarlette" onto white card and coloured her with copic markers and Kaszazz alcohol markers.  Put her over Christmas words.  Attached all to white card.

so glad I saw these! I haven't quite gotten on the "washi bandwagon".....yet. I have one roll waiting to get used....almost afraid to go there...most likely be like all my other scrappy stuff and the collection will breed like bunnies ;-)

Thank you Annmaree. Yes I am trying to join in the Christmas card challenge so I can have some made early instead of rushing at the last minute as I did last year and the year before.

Thank you Carolyn
Yes the washi bug does get you. I have a small drawer full, so can't buy any more till I use some of it up.
