About Me

Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

Birthday card made today to sketch on Unscripted Sketches No 176

I made this birthday card and sent to a friend in Western Australia today.  I will enter it into challenge 176 on
http://unscriptedsketches.com/

This was the sketch
and the Piggyback challenge was to send the card to someone.
Every card I make is sent out to family and friends.  I run a couple card making groups and am in some other card making groups so I always have lots of birthday cards and other cards to make to send.  I don't keep any.
I used mauve card with Stampin Up sentiment, green card embossed with butterflies and punched with Stampin Up border punch.  Purple and white Washi tape.  Mauve card.  Stamped flower from Stampin Up "Mixed Bunch" set and punched out with Stampin Up punch plus plain purple flower behind.  Purple brad.

then follow the blog hop to see the lovely cards the design team has made.
I did most of the blog hop earlier but then my computer wouldn't let me finish so I have come onto Sarah's laptop while she is at youth group.

My card for Sunny Challenges SC05812

My card for Sunny Challenges SC05812
http://sunnychallenges.blogspot.com.au/

We had to use black and white only using the following sketch
I used Stampin Up Stamps, paper and punches, plus Crafts-Too Embossing folder "Daisy and Swirl" on the white card.  The scan is not very clear.  The white card would probably have showed up better if I had mounted it onto a black card.  The stamps were stamped with black ink and the paper is black and white but they look blueish in the scan..

My cards for Lollipop challenge No 54

Challenge 54 at Lollipop Ladies is to use one colour from the Gobstopper picture and do a monochromatic card
http://thelollipopladies.blogspot.com.au/
I have chosen purple.  I made three sympathy cards yesterday and another one a few days ago, so thought as they were all purple I would use them for this challenge.  I only ever enter my cards in one challenge.

I have used different shades of purple card, stamps from the Our Daily Bread designs 2009 and an unmounted Stamp it Set. Sharing in your sorrow from Stampin Up set.  Butterflies embossing folder, ribbon, flowers and brads.
I used the butterflies on my cards as when my father died my 3 eldest grand daughters were only little and I used the butterfly as an example.   As a caterpillar dies a beautiful butterfly flies up into the sky.  When we die our body dies but our spirit flies up to heaven.

My card for Unscripted Sketches No 174

This is my card for Unscripted Sketches No 174
http://unscriptedsketches.com/
This was the sketch
I made the background paper from a picture of asters on the internet.  I posted this card yesterday to a friend for her birthday on the weekend.  The birth flower for September is Aster or Morning glory.
Green card put through cuttlebug, daisy embossing folder.  Added flowers and brads and Stampin Up stamp.
Thank you to the ladies on Unscripted sketches for their inspiration each week.

My card for Sunny Challenges No SC05612

This is my card for Sunny Challenges No SC05612
http://sunnychallenges.blogspot.com.au/
We had to make a card 4" x 4" (10cm x 10cm) to the following sketch
I made the paper from a picture of asters on the internet (Aster is the birthday flower for September)
Added washi tape which does not show up too well in the scan.
Used Stampin Up punch and stamps.

My card for Feeling Sketchy No 23

This is my card for Feeling Sketchy challenge No 23
http://feeling-sketchy.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/feeling-sketchy-week-23-card-sketch-and.html
and this is the sketch we worked to this week
I put green card through cuttlebug daisy embossing folder.  Pattern paper I made from picture on the computer of asters as this card is for a September birthday and the birthday flower is aster or morning glory.
I stamped Bildmalarna stamp Little Winged Friends "Letters and Roses".  Stampin Up "Happy birthday".  Added lace, plus flower and brad instead of star.
Thank you to the ladies at Feeling Sketchy for ideas each week to make my birthday cards.  My computer will still not allow me to add photos to my blog so I am using my grand daughters laptop.
