About Me

Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

http://thelollipopladies.blogspot.com.au/

I made the background paper from a picture on the internet.  Layered the build picture also from the internet.  Added the photos and journalling.

Everyone else must be having problems with this challenge as there are no entries yet on the side bar, so come on over and join in the challenge, you still have a couple days to join in

ATCs with attitude No 37

Its time for another ATC challenge at ATCs with attitude- No 37 Add some sparkle
http://attitudewithatcs.blogspot.com.au/
I was making a Christmas Card for Merry Monday Christmas card challenge and I printed out this stamp but it was a bit too small for the card so I decided to use it for an ATC.
Green card embossed with Cuttlebug "Holly with Berries", washi tape, Merry Christmas sticker and for the sparkle I have added rhinestones.  They are sparkly but it doesn't show up in the scan.
The Stamp is a digi stamp "Holly Victorian Christmas" by Heather Valentin from Lacey Sunshine stamps who is the official and only authorized shop to sell Heather Valentin stamps.  I am hoping to get my Christmas cards and ATCs done a bit earlier this year instead of having to rush at the last minute which is usually the case.

Always Playing with Paper Merry Monday Christmas challenge No 56

I just finished my card in time for this weeks challenge as it finishes in 12 hours time.
http://alwaysplayingwithpaper.blogspot.ca/2013/04/merry-monday-christmas-card-challenge.html

This was the sketch to follow to make a Christmas card

And this is the card I made this afternoon.
I embossed green card with Cuttlebug "Holly with Berries" and added ribbon from my stash and washi tape. Printed Heather Valentin's digi stamp "Holly Victorian Christmas" from Lacey Sunshine stamps the official and only authorised shop to sell Heather Valentin stamps.  Coloured the stamp with Copic marker (face), Distress Markers and Tria Markers.  Cut out and attached to green card and added Merry Christmas sticker.  You can't see properly in the scan but the berries on the embossing have been coloured red with a sparkly gel pen.
I have wanted to join this challenge for a few weeks but until now always just missed the deadline.  It will be good to get some Christmas cards made during the year instead of having to rush at the last minute.

I have just found another Christmas card challenge so I would like to enter this card into
ABC Christmas challenge - G is for girl or guy

I made this quick thank you card today for a friend.

http://imaginethatdigistamp.blogspot.com.au/

I also bought the digi papers from her to use with the cars.
I printed out one of the cars and the sentiment and coloured the car with distress markers, and the yellow with another marker.  My colouring is not the best as my eyes are blurry.
This will be a good card for boys.  I usually have problems making male cards but this has made it easier.

Fairies and Butterflies

I made this birthday card today and I am going to enter it into two challenges

Robyn's Fetish Challenge No 153 - Fairies (I was lucky to be picked as one of the top 3 for challenge No 152) http://robynsfetishchallengeblog.blogspot.com.au/

and Paula's  new challenge blog where challenge 1 is Anything Goes
http://paulaholifieldcrafts.blogspot.com.au/

I have printed out Delicious Doodles digi stamps "Butterfly border" and "Fairy Fae" and coloured with Copic, distress and Tria Markers.  Printed out a second copy of butterfly border and coloured and cut out some of the butterflies and flowers and layered them over the top of the first image then attached all to
pink card which I first embossed with Crafts-Too butterflies.

I usually make a separate card for each challenge but I am running behind this week.  The tablets I am on for Fybromyalgia and arthritis are making me fuzzy headed so it takes longer to get going in the mornings and it takes longer to make my cards.
