Today is the last day of Beccy's Place month of holiday cards and the theme is do what you love

I love to use stamps, papers, ribbons and other embellishments, but on days like today when the pain in my hands is bad and also I can't see too well to colour I like to make cards with precoloured digi stamps and especially as this challenge closes soon.

I have used pattern paper, precoloured digi stamp and elements from Polkadoodles Angelberry Christmas CD.  I typed the sentiment and I meant to change the colour to red but I have had a few interruptions and I forgot to change it.

Christmas card club - The Holly and the Ivy

I am a day late posting my card for the Christmas Card club.
The theme this fortnight is the holly and the ivy.

I forgot to make my card even though I had it written down on my spreadsheet, so I have just made a simple card today using paper and precoloured elements from Digital Scrapbooking Studio "the holley and the ivy" bundle.

My youngest daughter and her three daughters said a sad goodbye to their family pet cat of 14 years Angel.    They have adopted a new kitten (8 months old) from the cat rescue society.

I have done a layout of my second grand daughter Emily with the new kitten Loki.

I have used Embossing Arts Co rubber stamp "Away in a Manger" which I have had since 1995.  I don't use it much now as it is hard to stamp out with my sore hands and also I can't see well enough to colour it properly.   I have also stamped Christmas Wishes which I have had for a few years.
Painted over with my old Glitter Glam paints, Golden Goddess and Tide Pool.  Coloured the star with glitter pen.
The glitter doesn't show in the scan.

I have stamped music stamp onto white card with green ink.  Stamped Happy Christmas in red ink.  Added punched holly leaves and red rhinestones for the berries.  Printed Beccy's free image Nine ladies dancing and typed the words onto the image.  Coloured with markers, layered onto red card and then onto the stamped card.

I have layered two papers from Sugar and Spice Studio "Candy Christmas" 6x6 double sided card stock pad onto pink card.
Printed Sweet Pea digi stamp "Christmas Angel" onto white card, cut out and coloured with markers and glitter pen and layered on top.
Stamped sentiment onto pink card and layered on top.  Added star brads.
I have had this digi stamp for a long time and I am sorry but I don't think it is still in the shop.  I printed out another image and was going to make a second card but can't find it.  (I am always misplacing things)

I looked up Split Coast stampers and found a tutorial on Striped Wipe

You are supposed to use die ink Reinkers but I used distress inks.  I bought them a couple years ago but hadn't even opened them.   (I forgot I do have some Stampin Up reinkers)
I made such a mess.  Here are the two cards I made:

I put Salty Ocean, Festive Berries and Mowed Lawn inks on folded edge of baby wipe as instructed and swiped it across glossy card stock.
Stamped Christmas Wishes and Stamp it stamp Holly's Christmas with black ink and coloured with markers.  (Skin colours don't show on top of the stripes)
On first card I added ribbon and pearls, layered onto red and then onto green card.
On second card I added star brads and layered on red card.
It would have been better if I had used a solid stamp.

Cut oval in white card, painted it with twinkling H2Os, embossed with Cuttlebug Christmas stars and layered over angel.  Added stars and glitter.

I have printed Faery Ink digi stamp Demera Star Angel three times.  The first one I painted the background with twinkling H2Os and Distress stains and used a stencil to paint the stars with distress paint.  Coloured the image with markers and glitter pens.  Cut out the angel without the wings, coloured with markers and glitter pens and layered on top.  Cut out the dress, coloured with markers and glitter pens and layered on top.  Added ribbon and layered all onto purple card.

This is the first time I have used my star stencil.

I have embossed white card with Cuttlebug Christmas Stars embossing folder.
Stamped Santa Rosa stamp "The Montage Collection" with white ink onto black card and coloured the Angel with white pencil.  Layered black card onto the white card.
I have had this stamp for many years but don't use it very much now as it is hard to stamp out properly with my sore hands.

It is so hot here in Sydney today it is hard to think.  40C (104F) at my house and I don't have airconditioning.    I am dreading going upstairs tonight.  Supposed to be a cool change tomorrow morning.

Painted a piece of white card with twinkling H2O's watercolour paints.  Stamped Christmas Wishes.  Printed Julia Spiri digital stamp Fairy and Gift from the Forest Dwellers collection onto another card.  Coloured skin and eyes with markers and the rest with twinklng H2O's watercolour paints.  Sponged edge of card with distress ink and layered on top of background card.   Added punched flowers and rhinestones.  Layered all onto pink card.
