About Me

Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

Archi Scraps July challenge

Following is the inspiration photo for the Archi Scraps July challenge.  The added criteria is to add a pin
http://archiscraps.blogspot.com.au/
This is the photo
This is the ATC I made today.
I used the spiral for my inspiration.  I printed out Sweet Pea digi stamp "Moonstones Mermaid" by Elaine Cox (she is sitting on a spiral) and coloured with markers.

I bought some pins at the beginning of the month especially to use for this challenge.  I lost track of the date and realised today it was the last day of the month.   I made the ATC and forgot the pin so I had to take it apart to add the pin.  It had a pearl at the end so I put it in the mermaids hair.

There is just a few hours left if you want to join the challenge.

Love to Create Challenge Challenge 74 - Fairy Tale or Fantasy

Love to Create Challenge 74 is Fairy Tale or Fantasy

This is my layout I did tonight.
I have printed 2 photos from my youngest grand daughter Brianna's first dance concert.  I have used page from Paper Marci fairy tale 8x8 stack.  Printed photos, Title and journalling on the computer and attached to the page.  Added fairy stickers and die cut.  The tree and the butterflies are very glittery but it doesn't show up on the scan.

Brianna started ballet classes in the last term of 2010 when she was 2.  The teacher didn't normally take them until 3 but Brianna was trying to copy her two older sisters so the teacher let her start.  She had only been going  2 or 3 weeks when she danced at the Rhododendrum festival.   She learnt ballet for all of 2011 but only started tap dancing about 5 weeks before the concert.  We didn't think she would be in the tap dance at the concert but she was.  She really enjoyed it and did very well.  The photos are of the ballet dance.  She had a different costume for the tap dance.

There is just a few more hours till the close of the challenge.

I didn't get any craft done yesterday as I couldn't get into my craft room as Tony was putting the table and shelves together with Lynda's help.   This morning I was putting things back into the room and this afternoon I went to a Kaszazz class and made 3 easel cards.

He did a good job but because he made the table wider to make more space for scrapbooking I am too short to reach the top shelves.

Angela painted the room when she moved into it as her bedroom after Dad and Mum went to heaven, so it is not my colours.   Now that we have moved the wardrobes out Tony was able to make the shelves.

This is Lynda standing on the table, there is no way I could get up there.

Sweet Pea Stampers challenge Under the Sea

I am in team A on the design team and it was team B's turn this fortnight, but I wanted to use my new Sweet Pea digi stamp and we can make on team B's fortnight if we want.
http://www.thesweetpeastampers.blogspot.co.uk/

The challenge this fortnight is  Under the Sea.
I have printed Sweet Pea digital stamp "The Koi" by Ching Chou Kuik onto white card and coloured with markers and chalks.  Embossed dark blue card with Cuttlebug "Divine Swirls" embossing folder, cut a circle out and layered it over the white card.  Have added punched dolphins and fish brads and layered all onto light blue card.

Lollipop Ladies No 72 Pirate lollipops (with water) my second post

This challenge is running longer than normal as there is also a design team call.   You still have 3 days to enter your project.  If you would like to be considered for the design team just put DT after your name when you add your card or other project to Mr Linky which is on the top right hand side of the Lollipop challenge site.
http://thelollipopladies.blogspot.com.au/

I am way behind with my scrapbooking so I have done a scrapbook page for my second project.
I couldn't find the photos of my grand daughter Emily who was dressed as a pirate for one of her birthday parties but I remembered that she did a pirate dance in her dance concert in November 2011.  She did the choreography for the dance and also organised the costumes for her and her friend.  She is the one on the right with the brown boots.  It took me a long time but I finally found the photos.  I found the picture of water on Google.  The title is a digi stamp from Create with TLC Pirate Play set.  The pirate ship came already coloured from Pink Gem.  I just had to put all the pieces together which took me a while.
It was a lovely sunny morning when we left here at 9.30 am to go to the eye specialist for my 10 am appointment.    By the time I came out at mid day after all the tests and waiting to see the specialist it was dark, cold and pouring rain.   My eyes are still blurry from the drops.  My pressure (glucoma) was up a bit but the macular degeneration is stable.  Hasn't turned to wet yet, thankfully.

Come over to Lollipop Ladies and see all the other lovely cards and scrapbooking page by the other members of the current design team.
