About Me

Welcome to my blog

I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

Faery Ink Monthly challenge 5 - Mardi Gras

The challenge at Faery Ink this month is Mardi Gras
http://faeryinkdesigns.blogspot.com.au/2015/01/monthly-challenge-5-mardi-gras.html

I have just finished reading the Scrapbooking Mystery series by Laura Childs.  Carmela has a scrapbooking shop on the fringe of New Orleans French quarter and there is a lot about the Mardi Gras in the books.  Camela has to order in lots of purple, gold and green papers and other things Mardi Gras related.

I searched Google for Mardi Gras papers and found a great digital paper shop Betsy Rainbow.  Some of the other cards I have put on my blog over the last few days have used paper from there as I finished those cards first.

I have used the lovely Faery Ink digi "Gabbie Mardi Gras" and coloured her with markers.
Betsy Rainbow BR310 Mardi Gras papers
Swirly ribbons from Betsy Rainbow BR327 Mardi Gras clip art
Betsy Rainbow PR149 Ric Rac borders
Added pearls.   (The people on the floats at Mardi Gras throw necklaces and other things into the crowds.)

I hope you will go over to Faery Ink and see the lovely cards by the design team and join in the challenge.

You can buy the lovely Faery Ink digi stamps at

and there are some free images at
