I just found this challenge blog this week http://101watercolor.blogspot.com.au/
on Victoria Lavender's blog http://victorialavender.blogspot.com.au/
The first assignment is Salt Water (color) and they have two sections 101 beginners and intermediate and 102 intermediate and advanced.
This is the very first time I have used this technique and I thank Victoria for the YOUTUBE links
I tried to follow the video Tattered Angels - Kosher Salt Technique by Erin Bassett but just used table sea salt as that is all I had here.
Also I didn't have any watercolour card so have just used white card I buy from Office Works.
Sprayed with Ranger Dylusion sprays, shook salt over and left overnight to dry. Today wiped off the salt and stamped with Indigo Blue clear stamps I received last week with Australian Simply Cards magazine No71. Stamped an extra butterfly and layered on top. Added rhinestones and layered all onto pink card.
I would also like to enter this card into Word Art Wednesday

About Me
Welcome to my blog
I started this blog in April 2012 so I could join Challenges. I am now on some design teams. I hope you like my cards. I started stamping in 1995 but my cards are still mostly cute.
Thank you to those who have joined as followers and to those who comment.
Unfortunately because of spammers I have had to put moderation on the comments. I will approve them as soon as possible, this also means I don't miss any.
I don't always get a chance to reply to all comments but I read them all when I approve them and I really appreciate you taking the time to give your comment.
The lovely banner was made especially for me by Amanda at Faery Ink Art & Design when I won her first blog challenge. family:";">http://faeryink.com/product/granmargaret-fairy-digital-stamp/

So beautiful! I've not tried this technique, and I love Dylusions sprays, so will definitely be taking some table salt down to the craft room to try this. You did a super look with this! Well done! Will try to get back to check out your links too. Right now trying to play catchup.TFS & Hugs
Hi Margaret, Splendid! Tablesalt is just as good. It's whatever makes you feel good. It's your first time? So cool! It's a cute card and I hope you visit each week to pick up a new idea or just to practice for fun. Cheers, Victoria Lavender 101: Watercolor
